VIDEO CONVERSION EXAMPLES

Due to licensing reasons, I do not show off actual video. I apologize for any inconvenience.

Here, I have some examples taken from "Young Indiana Jones" Chapter 16:

Please visit this page with an up to date browser in order to check out this interactive screen comparison feature.

Now, you can see screenshots from the UK version. Hover the mouse pointer over a screenshot to see my own video conversion for comparison.

Clearly visible is the difference in colors and detail, which was edited during the conversion. The RC1 DVDs have a similar look to the RC2, but in this particular case, not all was lost as you can see.

What you can't see in these pictures: The RC2 conversion doesn't even use a PAL speedup. Not even Inverse Telecine was applied, so it is rather jerky throughout, and it has a lot of interlacing artifacts completely unnecessary.

Choose a rendition approach:
Display pixel exact 720 by 576 screenshots ignoring the correct aspect ratio
Stretch screenshots to the correct aspect ratio like a PAL compliant TV with full overscan (52 µs active line) would do
I'm sorry, but aspect ratio correction is not supported by your browser.
Neither is this particular hover effect.
